Trail

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon. The temperature was mild. I took off on the Custis trail East toward Rosslyn, joined the Mt. Vernon trail south and got on to the bridge over 66. There I was scanning the horizon with my binoculars when I saw a figure growing larger and larger in my view. Turned out to be our neighbor and friend Clark :) We had a long conversation about binoculars and everything under the sun, then we parted ways. He was on his bike and headed home. I crossed the bridge and headed North on the Rockcreek trail past the Kennedy center and Watergate to M street and then crossed the Key bridge back into Virginia to Wilson street and back home.
