Trail

I had hiked 15 miles the day before. Yet, I had decided to check my endurance. I had work to do in the morning; installing Ubuntu and such. At 11:00 I was ready for an adventure. The day before Clark had advised me on getting a Columbia high performance shirt in the Titanium line. I got it from REI and decided to test it. I must admit I couldn't have hiked the 24 miles without it. The temperature was probably in the mid 90s and the humidity was very high. It was like being in a sauna for 8 hours straight. I had lots of gatorade with me, but no food. I think the body can take only a limited amount of abuse; I had a fever when I got back. Nevertheless it was great adventure.
