Catoctin Mountain Park, MD, 5 July, 2010 (8 miles): 05 Jul, 2010 (8 miles)
It was a hot sunny day, the temperatures soaring to 100. We headed out to the Catoctin Mountain National Park in MD, about a 100 miles NE and hiked about 8 miles. Its a pleasant hike, there are few scenic lookout called Chimney Rock, Wolf rock, Thurmont overlook and Cunningham falls. Occasionally you see eagles soaring up on the thermals.
