Trail

A gorgeous day. The temperature was in the high 60s. We took the day off for a long hike. Our target was a round trip from Ballston to Mt. Vernon and back; a total of 40 miles! Of course, it was tentative. We were doing great until we got to Mt. Vernon. But then we decided to abandon the hike and took a bus back to the metro station and back home. It was worth it. I think the 40 miles is a possibility but it depends on how early we wake up in the morning.
